The University of Law is the UK´s longest established specialist provider of legal education. They have trained more lawyers than anyone else.

The University of Law is the UK's longest-established specialist provider of legal education. In fact, we've trained more lawyers than anyone else. We can trace our origins to 1876 with the formation of leading tutorial firm Gibson & Weldon. With a rich heritage and a reputation for innovation and contemporary teaching practices, we continuously focus on developing the best legal minds. Now expanding into new subject areas with the launch of De Broc School of Business, the University of Law is looking to take it's excellent student satisfaction and employability rates and become a leading institution in the legal and business fields.

As well as all the social activities, clubs and societies going on at the University, you will also hold FREE associate membership of your centre's local university students' union. You will have access to the social facilities, clubs, societies, and events that your local students union offer, as well as giving you the opportunity to meet students studying at universities across the city. The only thing you can't do is compete in their sports teams, but why would you when you'll be playing for Team Law!

What really sets them apart from other universities is the principle that the current and future lawyers should only ever learn in a realistic, professional and contemporary context. Their track record of excellence in learning and development has helped them establish worldwide connections with the legal services market.
All the tutors are qualified solicitors, barristers or judges and have extensive practical experience which they are able to pass onto students. Classes are small, so everybody gets student-to-tutor contact time. Training is very practice-based. 97% of full-time 2014 and 2015 LPC students had secured employment within nine months of graduation.

The University of Law has nine centres in seven cities around the UK: Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Exeter, Guildford, Leeds, Bloomsbury, Moorgate and Manchester. Read more about different locations here.
