The 2015 National Student Survey revealed that the University of Northampton has 86% overall student satisfaction, with 13 courses receiving 100% overall satisfaction, and a further 21 receiving scores of 90% or more.
The University of Northampton has always prided itself on its teaching excellence. This has been recognised nationally in the UK National Teaching Awards. Since these awards were established, five of our university staff have been recognised as National Teaching Fellows. This prestigious award recognises the contribution of individuals to the development of innovative teaching at the highest level, nationally and internationally.
The University’s £25 million St John’s Halls of Residence in Northampton town centre, which opened at the start of 2014, offers students a town centre living experience. In addition to our on campus sports facilities, the University’s sports partnerships mean that wherever our students live in Northampton, sports and leisure facilities are close at hand. All our students have access to excellent facilities operated in and around Northampton at discounted rates. Completed in February 2015,
the £8.5 million University of Northampton Innovation Centre will offer business support and advice for businesses in the social enterprise sector. Students will have the opportunity to work with these businesses on placements and internships.
